Baby Evie

Here is a pic of our new precious addition. Eve Suzanne Clark was born on August 27, 2008. She weighed a hefty 8 lbs 12 oz (a full 2 lbs heavier than Max was) and was 23 inches long (2 inches longer than Max was)! My dream of falling in love with an Amazon woman finally came true! Evie, as she's know by all those worthy, loves hiking, long walks on the beach and snuggling.

Don't let the first picture fool you. She didn't come out so clean. Evie was blessed with her daddy's appreciation of sponge baths. The following video is not intended for young audiences.

Here's a little clip of Evie just hanging out in here hospital bed.

Sarah was afraid that Evie might have inherited my explosive, unpredictable temper, so we thought it best to implement physical restraint. Best offense is a good defense, right? Oh, she's not actually shaped like a triangle. Eve always pulls her legs up into frog-ready-to-pounce position. I think it's because she heard that guys don't like tall girls.

Random Sampler

It's been such a crazy few months, I haven't had much time to post. We moved, took swimming lessons, my sister Jessie had a baby, Ryan's sister Megan got married in San Diego, and I'll be having a baby any day now. So, I thought I'd just put in a mix of pictures we've taken over the last few months.

Mom decided to teach Max one of those essential life skills - how to drink a sippy cup like a baby monkey. Max of course LOVED that!

One day, out of the blue, the kids decided to make a train. They paraded around the living room for a long time chugging and chooing. Occasionally, Max would break off running and laughing, then Amelia would chase him laughing, then Colin, who is not nearly as fast, would follow so sadly hollering, "wait for me!"

Here's Ryan and Max with Ryan's sister Megan and new husband Jackie at their reception. Max actually had a great time, he was just a little tired of getting his picture taken.

We took Max to a restaurant and ordered him his own kids meal. But he was too excited about eating the lettuce to pay any attention to the real food.

Here's Max/Hitler eating blueberry yogurt.

A-kee-cots Anyone?

Max loves to sing, and lately he has been making up his own songs about everything. It's almost like living in a low budget made-for-TV musical. The other day we were enjoying apricots from Utah and he broke into song. It was a little repetitive, yet quite catchy.

Shoo Fly

The other day Max saw me trying to swat a fly. His reach may leave something to be desired, but he makes up for it with speed and tenacity.

More San Diego

I know its overkill to post more pictures of San Diego, but after we got home yesterday I started looking through and there was just so many funny ones I couldn't resist.

Here's the kids at Birch Aquarium.

Max was so tired in the afternoon he couldn't keep his head up. This gives new meaning to the word "headrest."

Max was so serious about collecting shells on Shell Beach. I couldn't get him to look up for a picture.

We stopped at Luigi's Pizza for slices of their famous 30 in. pie. This is Max eating his "kid's meal." The piece was bigger than his head. He almost ate the whole thing too!

San Diego Vacation

This week we went to San Diego and stayed at Ryan's sister Kim's house for 6 days. We had such an awesome time! Max loved the "deach," especially being buried in the sand.

He was totally wiped out! If you look closely you can see the sand glued to his face.

I know this picture belongs on Jessie's blog, but I couldn't resist! Colin loved being buried too!

Here's Ryan looking extremely touristy!

Rides

The other day we realized that not only does Max love piggy back rides, horsey does too!
