Killing Time and Flies

We went to Walmart to get our oil change. It was pure torture! It took over 2 hours, even though the guy with our car keys assured us they were "the fastest in the valley." Luckily we discovered the most wonderful time consumer. Fly swatters - 2 for $.97. Ah, the joys of being 2 years old!

Christmas in May

Max found his Santa Suit that Grandpa Earle and Barbara gave him last Christmas and absolutely insisted on putting it on. He was sweating like crazy, but nothing could induce him to take it off (he's way faster than I am). Maybe it's because of the feelings of love and giving that prevail in our home, or it could be the ever present sensation of boredom.

A Free Lunch

We went to Joe's BBQ for Customer Appreciation Day to get a free lunch. The line was really long in the hot sun, but the food (and the hats) made it all worthwhile!

Here's Max and Molly consoling each other during the long wait.

Ties

As many of you may know, Ryan has an extensive vitage tie collection. Here's Max enjoying some of the prize pieces.

Little Mowgli

Mom bought Max a Jungle Book stuffed animal the other day and he is obsessed with it.

Toy Time

Ryan got these Playmobil toys for Max and he loves to line them all up. It's so funny to watch! Also, you can kind of see his first black eye in this picture (ran into the bed rail in the dark), and please excuse the flip-off (we didn't teach him that!).

Train Park

We spent a little time at the Train Park the other day, and Max really loved it.

Shoe Shopping

We were shopping at Nordstrom Rack the other day and we bumped into someone that we know. After she left we looked down, and there was Max with the 2 ugliest shoes in the store on. We don't complain when he walks around in my heels, but we have to draw the line somewhere!

Burger Time

Wow, In-N-Out is so kid friendly! They give out hats and stickers! Here's the kids in their hats. I forgot to get a picture of Jessie in hers. Maybe next time.

The Target Bus

Jessie, Lauren , and I went to Target to get baby Claire's pictures taken the other day. This Target had crazy carts, and we actually fit all 5 kids on one cart! Isn't that amazing! It was pretty difficult to turn, and move forward actually. The kids were obviously not as excited about it as I was, except maybe Claire, who could barely contain herself, when she wasn't sleeping.

Spring Cleaning

Last week at Jessie's house, Max became obsessed with these cleaning toys she had. He carried them all around "cleaning" and pushing anyone who came anywhere near them! Jessie finally just gave them to him!

Say ahh

Last week Ryan had a community dentistry project where they gave free care to elementary school kids. He came home with a free pair of scrubs that Max promptly stole.
