Happy One Month Birthday!

Evie is 1 month old today! To celebrate, we'll be feeding her, giving her naps, and (if she's lucky) giving her a bath. All of her favorite things!

Good Times

Nothing much has been happening around here, but I was inspired by Lauren's blog's pictures of Claire to post this picture of Max from 2 years ago. This is August '06 when he was first learning to sit up. He has always been such a funny little guy!

More Evie

Today, Evie fell asleep on Mom's couch with her hands up in such a cute way, I had to take a picture! She always loves to have her hands out in a dramatic pose!


Evie had her first bath this evening. She LOVED it! She had been crying and fussy for an hour before the bath, but it calmed her right down. Max had a good time washing her feet too!

More Nanna Pics

Here's a few more pictures from the last couple of days. Eve got a new outfit, but she is so wiggly it was hard to get a good picture!


Linda made Max basketball shorts and a basketball T-shirt, and then she made matching clothes for the monkey too!


Linda also made Max and the monkey pillows and quilts! She's amazing!

Nanna is here!

Ryan's mom Linda is in town helping us with Max and the new baby. We are having such a great time with her, and Max is enjoying the extra attention.


Linda made Max this darling sock monkey that he loves!

Max is obsessed with his basketball toy, so Linda decided to get some flannel and make him some jammies. He thinks the fabric is pretty fun.



In other news, Evie had her 2 week doctor's appointment today. She is in the 88th percentile for her height, 64th for weight, and 60th for head circumference. So far so good!

Sharing Time

Since Evie was born, Max has gotten really possessive of anything and everything. His favorite word is MINE. For instance, he points to my toes and says, "MY toes." The nursing pillow is one of his latest acquisitions. Yesterday, he decided to let Evie sit on it with him, but make no mistake, that nursing pillow is HIS.

Healthy Girl

Eve had her first doctor appointment today (she is 6 days old). She weighs 8 pounds 11 ounces. That's in the 90th percentile for weight and she is off the chart for height.

Jump if you're happy

Max really enjoyed the jump house at the 1 year anniversary celebration at Sarah's uncle's restaurant, La Torta Rica. We're not sure exactly how he ended up in the position in the second picture! It's amazing kids live to see adulthood!

Is there an Art Vandelay in the house?

A couple of weeks ago we were watching Amelia and Collin while Jessie and Mike were packing for the move. Sarah and I were just in our room paying no attention to the kids (as usual). When we eventually went into the front room we found that they had constructed this amazing fort. Obviously they totally disregarded my instructions to not have any fun.


I especially like how this second picture captured Amelia daydreaming about the lunch she wished we were feeding her.




All-in-all they seemed to have a great time. I think their only regret was the lack of defenses built into their fort. It took mere seconds to destroy.

Hospital Portraits

Can you believe we actually got suckered into buying portraits at the hospital? It's criminal to make a sales pitch to people who haven't slept in days! The first 3 we purchased, and the last 3 we didn't (that's why the resolution is bad.)
