Ready for Take-off

Today we had a little Pre-Halloween photo shoot out on the lawn. Max is an owl if you can't quite tell. If you ask him what an owl says, he usually answers, "Oww, oww." Oh well. We have a few more days to get it right!

What a faker!

Last night, Max was crying when I put him to bed, so after a little while I went in to comfort him. I brought him a drink of milk, and he let me hold him like a baby in the rocking chair while he drank it (he NEVER does that!). After he took a few sips, he closed his eyes and started making fake snoring sounds! We both laughed and laughed, and when we stopped laughing, he did it again, and again. It wasn't quite the soothing bedtime experience I had been hoping for, but I can't complain because it was so funny!

The Pumkin Patch

This weekend we went to Mother Nature's Farm to pick our pumpkins with the kids. Here's a few pictures of our little adventure!

The Herpetological Society was there, and Max made friends with a giant tortoise.

Max's first face painting. Very masculine don't you think?

Here's Max on the hayride with Grandma Susu.

Here we are picking out pumpkins.

Max decorated his pumpkin with stickers. Ryan gladly helped and added the words "smelly" and "goober" to the pumpkin. Those are coming off today.

Here's the kids in the Jumping Castle. There wasn't much jumping going on though. Just a lot of crawling and bonking heads.

That's a 400 pound pumkin! Maybe next year we'll get that one.

Samurai Max

Jessie and Mike brought Max a robe back from Chinatown in San Francisco, and he loves it! It was hard to get a picture of him, he wouldn't stop moving and yelling "hee-yah!"

Chillin'

The other day I got Max out of the bath, put him on the changing table, turned around to get his clothes, and when I looked back, there he was lounging with his feet up and a book. I've got relaxing down to a science (I normally wear clothes), and he is learning fast!

Dad's Shoes II

Not to be redundant, but look how happy he is in Ryan's shoes! It's so funny!
