Apple Picking

Today we went apple picking at a beautiful orchard with our friends Ben and Cindy, and we pretty much froze our buns off. But, we did get lots of lovely Jonathons and photos.

We even got a squash that looks like an apple!

New Weaponry

Ryan's brother Jason is back in Indiana for a while, and he is selling kids' play swords and armor. He made Max and Evie these amazing dress-ups.

Tae Kwon Do

Evie and Max started Tae Kwon Do and they are loving it! They are conveniently the only 2 kids in their class, and their teacher is really nice. Hopefully it helps them channel their aggression, and not enhance it!

Evie's Third Birthday

Evie turned three in August, and we had a busy day celebrating. In the morning we went to the zoo.

She rode a pony.

And a giant tortoise.

We went to the Stake Fair.

And the next weekend we had a joint party with Greg.

It was lovely!

Sidewalk Art

Jessie's Photo Shoot

While Jessie was in town, she had a little photo shoot with the kids. She is so talented!

Mom and Jessie's Visit

While Mom and jessie visited, we had lots of adventures. We wandered around Notre Dame and spent a little time at the beach at Lake Michigan. Here are some of the highlights.

Tea Party

While Mom and Jessie were here, Linda set up a lovely tea (hot chocolate) party in Shipshewana. We had such a great time!

Fruit Picking

One thing we love about living here is that we are in the "Fruit Belt." Jessie and Mom came for a visit and we went cherry picking and peach picking. These cherries became the most delicious pie I have ever made (with Mom and Jessie's help!).
