Another Ryan

We had an ultrasound yesterday, and we're having a boy! When we found out what he was, my mom asked Max what he thought we should name the baby and he said, "Max, like me!" So then she asked him what other names besides Max he likes. "Max Clark." Then she asked him if he had any friends who are boys whose names he likes. "Ms. Nancy (the preschool teacher)." All interesting names to consider! Here's a few of the 3D ultrasound pictures. I know they are hard to see, but I just can't resist! The first is of his face turned to our right and the second is of his skinny legs and paddle feet with his bum sticking out to our left at the top of the picture.

Random

Ryan is always getting out the camera and taking pictures at random times. I always tease him because they rarely turn out well. Every once in a while he gets a good one though. Here's the proof!

New Bike

Max has graduated to a big kid bike with training wheels! He loves it, and is pretty fast. When Ryan was putting it together, Max kept stealing tools out of Ryan's toolbox and hitting the bike with them so he could "fix the bike." What a funny kid!

Pumpkin Patch

We took another visit to the pumpkin farm this year to get ready for Halloween. Here's some of the highlights!

Doing Nothing

We haven't had much going on around our house lately, and here's a few pictures of Evie to prove it.

In this last picture, Lauren and I were shopping and the kids were getting hungry, so I gave Evie the tiniest chocolate cracker. 5 minutes Later, this is what she looked like. We all had a good laugh, but she couldn't figure out what was so funny.

First Day of School

Tuesday was Max's first day of preschool! What a horrible, traumatizing, and tearful day...for me! Max had a great time, in fact the only time he cried was when we got home and he realized he wasn't going back! I can hardly believe he's old enough, but I guess he's ready! (No, that's not his Hello Kitty backpack on the ground!)

Boys' Night

Dad and Ryan took Max to his first baseball game last week. They had a great time - but who wouldn't with cotton candy and a flag!

One Whole Year!

Evie turned 1! We can't believe it! Here are some pictures of our little celebratory lunch.

More Chinese Cultural Center

We just can't help buying toys for the kids at the Chinese Cultural Center! Especially since they have these cool Chinese pajamas that Jessie gave them to dress up with!

Last Minute Trips are the Best!

This weekend we took a spontaneous trip to San Diego to get out of the heat. It was beautiful! It was so nice to visit with Ryan's sisters Kim and Megan and their families. When it was time to head home, Max through tears said, "I don't love home! I only love the beach!" Here's some pictures of our trip.

This is Max getting his face painted in Seaport Village. Azure got hers done too, but I didn't get a good picture!

Max's favorite pastime - chasing birds.

This is Seal Beach - see the seals back there?

So Supportive

Yesterday I had to give the opening prayer in church. As I was heading back to my seat, Max called out, "That was a good good prayer Mommy! You did good praying!" What a sweetie, if only he was a little quieter!

Here we go again...

I am excited to report that I am pregnant again! This baby will be due in April. When we told Max, he said, "I'm going to have a baby too!" He definitely doesn't get it yet!

What a Girl!

I just got Evie some new hair clips from Ryan's sister Kim's Etsy store (azureskycreations.etsy.com). She's so girly - she goes crazy when she sees them, but unfortunately she wants to eat them not wear them. The only way I could take her picture was to give her one to hold. You can see how excited she is!

Great Gift

When Jason arrived, he brought Max this awesome utility belt that he made. Max hasn't taken it off since! Since Jason has grown his hair out, Max fully believes that Jason is a pirate and he calls this his pirate belt and pirate hat.

Chuckie Cheese

While Ryan's family was here we opted for an outing of culture and cuisine at Chuckie Cheese. Here's some pictures of the group.

Megan and Jackie spent the whole time shooting baskets and they tied the record for the most. Pretty impressive!

Forest Fun

Last week Ryan's Mom, Dad, and brothers and sisters: Jason, Alex, Brandon, Tyson, Maddie; and surprise weekend visitors Megan and Jackie came to stay with us. We had such a great time with them. The kids were in heaven playing with their aunts and uncles. For part of their trip we headed up to my parent's cabin to cool off. Here's some pictures of the kids at a local park inn Overgaard.
