Wacky Wednesday

Max's preschool celebrated Wacky Wednesday in honor of a Dr. Seuss book and all of the kids were encouraged to dress crazy. Poor Max, after buckets of hair products and 30 minutes of trying to make his hair stand up crazy, this was all we could make it do, and as it was, by the end of the day, it was totally back to normal!

Leo

Leo Smeagol Clark finally decided to join our family today! He weighs 8 lbs 6 oz and is 22.75 inches long (the tallest baby the doctors and nurses had ever seen)! He already seems to be a great match for our family. He's a good eater, great sleeper, and an even better pooper. Oh, and we have not actually chosen a middle name yet.

A Family Tradition

I just had to take a picture of the ritual licking of the utensils after I made a pie the other day. It reminded me of how as kids we had to fight Dad for a taste after Mom would make a pie. Max is better at sharing than Dad was!

Book Thief

Evie's gotten pretty aggressive about taking Max's toys lately, so Max found the safest place to keep his favorite books.

Leaves

Its February so I guess its time to rake the leaves. I wonder what it will be like to live somewhere where you do this in the fall.

A Sneak Peek

I had another ultrasound and we got some great pictures of the baby! I'm 36 weeks now, and he weighs 5 lbs 4 oz. I've never had an ultrasound this late in a pregnancy before, and it was fun to see him looking like a baby instead of an alien! The ultrasound tech said he even has hair all ready! This first picture is a profile shot with his fist up by his forehead.

This picture is more of a front view of his face. That's not a mustache, its the umbilical cord.
