Oops!
Here's a funny conversation Max and Mom had yesterday while playing with a shooting toy.
Max: Shoot me in the leg Grandma!
Mom: Here it comes!
Max: You shot me in the privates! You a crazy old girl.

Religious Teaching
Max and Molly had a funny conversation the other day at the splash park.
Molly: Why do you wear that hat to the splash park?
Max: Because it keeps water off of my face.
Molly: Who taught you that?
Max: Jesus taught me that!
Molly (In a super amazed voice): JESUS TAUGHT YOU THAT?!
Max: Jesus didn't teach me that, I just figured it out myself!

Updates
Well, it's official - we are moving to Indiana on July 24th. Ryan has accepted a position at a public health clinic there and is really excited to start a real job! We're looking forward to being close to his family there. It'll be interesting to move on to the next chapter of our life.
In other news, Max had his last day of preschool last week. We had such a wonderful year and we will really miss it. I don't know how we'll ever find a preschool we like as much as this one. Here's a picture of Max and his teacher Ms. Nancy at their splash party.

We wanted to keep Max busy and use up some of his seemingly boundless energy, so after we realized that we were too late to sign up for rec center sports teams, we decided to enroll him in karate. It is hilarious, and so far he really loves it. He has even earned his first stripe on his white belt. Here he is waving at me when he's not supposed to.

Leo is doing well and is starting to smile a little more. It's hard for the camera to capture it, it's too slow, but here's a couple of half smiles.

Max in Charge
The other day, I was feeding the baby in my bedroom and Max came running in to tell me that Evie needed a new diaper because she had pooped. I told him that she would have to wait until I was done. Then I hear some funny sounds, and I here Max say, "Evie, you just stay right there." I hurry out to see what's happening and I see Evie laying on the floor with no diaper on. Max was changing her diaper! Then he came running in with a clean diaper to put on her. He was doing pretty good too when I interrupted! Something must be seriously wrong over here if the 4-year-old feels like he needs to step in and take over!
