Box a la Max

Today we decided to make a house out of a box. That's a Peter Pan hat over his face - he insisted of course! He decorated the house inside and out with his his two loves - his name and a Peter Pan hat.

5 Wonderful Years

This last weekend Ryan surprised me with a trip to San Diego for our 5 year anniversary. We had so much fun hanging out in our favorite city and visiting with Ryan's family. We got to see Ryan's sister Kim's new house and Ryan's mom was in town and was nice enough to babysit for us on the night of our anniversary so we could go on a date. We got to go to church with Ryan's sister Megan. We had so much fun.

Notice how dirty Max is! I think this was right after he ate a bunch of sand and spit it out on himself.

This is Max's cousin Azure. Pretty impressive family resemblence, eh?

Max really loves to spell his name so he was so excited to see it "big, big, big!!" as he puts it. We are starting a new fashion trend - pantsless. If you wear a jacket it really offsets the cold. Actually it was kind of cold that day so we didn't put him in his swimsuit, but his pants got soaked (of course) and we changed him shortly after this.

Bath Buddies

Evie and Max are finally starting to become friends, not great friends - but at least not enemies. They are sharing a room now, and I think it's helping. In this picture Evie is still toothless. Her bottom teeth just broke though, so our days of gummy smiles are almost over. Sad! I'll post pictures of her new smile soon.

Easter Weekend

Happy Easter! We've had a lovely weekend. We got to spend a little time at my Dad's new cabin in the forest. It was beautiful and the kids had so much fun in the snow. Also, we went to church with mom and dad this morning and it was fun to show off the kids' new Easter clothes.

Gospel Teachings

I have an egg carton with plastic eggs in it and each egg has an scipture in it to help you teach your kids about Easter. We opened the first one today, and I tried to explain the scripture to Max by saying, "Jesus takes our sins." His response was, "Is Jesus going to take this skull eraser?" (It's his favorite.) I guess he thought I was saying, "Jesus takes our things." My attempt at making Easter more religious is working well. So far the Easter bunny brings baskets and Jesus takes our things!
